GlobalChat may review, decline, pause, or remove an advertisement that does not meet these guidelines or that creates a safety, legal, technical, or user-experience concern. Submitting an ad does not guarantee approval or a particular number of views or clicks.
1. Ads we can consider
Advertisements should be lawful, accurate, suitable for a broad online community, and relevant to the people who may see them. The advertiser must have permission to use all supplied text, images, video, logos, and other materials.
- Describe the product, service, price, and offer clearly.
- Use a working landing page that matches the ad and identifies the business or organisation behind it.
- Make promotions, sponsorships, affiliate relationships, and important conditions clear.
- Use creative that remains legible on desktop, laptop, tablet, and mobile screens.
2. Ads we do not accept
Ads must not promote or facilitate illegal activity, scams, fraud, phishing, malware, deceptive downloads, counterfeit goods, impersonation, or unauthorised use of another person's brand or content.
- No hate, harassment, threats, graphic violence, exploitation, or discriminatory material.
- No sexually explicit material, sexual services, or content intended to exploit or endanger minors.
- No deceptive financial promises, fake testimonials, guaranteed results without evidence, or schemes that mislead people about risk or cost.
- No weapons, illegal drugs, tobacco or vaping products, or other restricted goods and services where prohibited by law or these guidelines.
- No gambling, adult services, or other age-restricted offers that are unsuitable for a general chat community.
3. Privacy and user experience
Ads must not collect passwords, authentication codes, payment details, precise location, or other sensitive information through misleading prompts. Do not use hidden redirects, forced downloads, disruptive pop-ups, fake system warnings, or scripts that interfere with the page or chat features.
Advertisers are responsible for their landing-page privacy notices, consent requirements, cookies, tracking technologies, and compliance with applicable laws. Do not claim GlobalChat endorses an advertiser unless written permission has been provided.
4. Creative and technical requirements
- Supply crisp images that scale cleanly and do not distort on smaller screens.
- Keep text readable, links descriptive, and calls to action honest.
- Advertising code must come from a trusted provider and must not contain malware, forced redirects, or unrelated tracking.
- Do not attempt to bypass moderation, security checks, browser controls, or ad-review decisions.
- Third-party ad scripts should be lightweight and should not block chat controls or prevent the page from loading.
5. Responsibility and review
The advertiser is responsible for the accuracy, legality, permissions, and destination of every ad. GlobalChat may request changes, temporarily disable an ad while reviewing a report, or remove an ad at its discretion. Placement, dimensions, availability, pricing, and campaign terms should be agreed separately with GlobalChat before a campaign starts.
6. How to enquire
For advertising enquiries, placement details, or questions about these guidelines, contact GlobalChat through the official contact page. Please include your business name, a short description of the advertisement, and the destination URL.
